Judy graduated from the Tivoli Institute with a Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy after which she completed a Diploma in Gestalt Therapy. She has been fully accredited since 2005 and abides by the code of ethics set out by the above associations.
Her approach is Person-Centred , Gestalt and Psychodynamic and she draws on these methods in her work with clients. She meets each new client as an individual and provides an opportunity in a safe confidential and accepting environment to explore their feelings an behaviour around issues that trouble and hold them back in life.
In her practice she has worked with clients in the areas of depression, anxiety low self-esteem relationship problems and other areas.
Her experience includes working with clients who have suffered sexual assault and child sexual abuse.
Although she has been working as a therapist for the past eight years, her background is in business and she has undergone additional training in Stress Management, Bereavement Counselling Skills and Group work.
